This small device is safe and easy to use being that it runs off a 12 volt battery. Submerge the pump into whatever needs draining*. Then simply connect the 12 volt Proactive Drum Pump battery leads to a 12 volt battery, for example an automobile battery. Or if you like, plug the cigarette plug that is attached to the pump wire directly into an automobile 12 volt port. This pump only draws 2.7 amps.
