Designed for the Field Technician in mind!

Think of the Rhea as a portable DC 12 volt water pump sampling system that takes the place of a Grab Sampler, a Coliwasa, a Kemmerer Water Sampler, A Betta Water Sampler and a Van Dorn Water Sampler. The Rhea® can pump with its built in peristaltic pump depth to water up to 30 feet and pump to depths up to 200 feet depth to water with the optional 12 volt Abyss water pump. 

What If I Need To Sample Deeper Than 30 Feet Depth To Water?  

The Rhea peristaltic pump can lift from 30 feet depth to water. So what happens if you wish to sample deeper depths? It is simple... hook up the optional 12 volt Abyss pump connector into to the Abyss connector and push the pump selector button to "Abyss" .... now you can sample to depths up to 220 feet depth to water! 

The Abyss Pump Is Extremely reliable!

The Abyss pump can run continuous, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for remote situations when the pump needs to run when no technician is present. The Engineered Plastic Abyss® pump can even be used for low flow sampling (Fractional Flow®) and sample all the way down to 40 mLs per minute with the built in Low Flow Sampling dial incorporated on the Rhea's Panel. Need to get even a lower flow?? How about 10 mLs per minute in conjunction with the Low Flow Sampling Control Valve. Fear not.... The 12 volt Abyss pump can even run dry! The 12 volt Abyss® pump incorporates a heavy duty motor that has a lifespan of over 3,000 hours.

The Rhea can either operate on its self-contained internal 30 amp AGM battery or plug it into a 120-volt electric socket for indefinite running. The Rhea® only weighs 37 pounds making this pump lightweight and extremely durable. The rugged Pelican™ 1430 case enclosure is made of impact and corrosion resistant ABS plastic to withstand demanding work conditions. The Rhea Incorporates the most accurate and precise variable speed controller that can either operate the peristaltic pump or the optional 12 volt Abyss pump. Please note you cannot run both pumps simultaneously. 

The Rhea® can be charged in the office, the hotel room, or any location where 120 volts AC is available with the charger provided. The Rhea® will save you time and money!

 

Intuitive - The Rhea Will Tell You When It Needs Charging

The Rhea® incorporates a Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) Warning LED light on its panel. In short, the LVD is a "battery saver device" feature. If the internal battery should ever fall below 10.75 volts then the LED light on the panel will illuminate bright red, indicating that the battery is at a critical level and needs to be charged. This (LVD) feature will automatically turn off the Rhea. This advanced technology will prolong the life of the internal battery.

An amazing 30 Amp AGM rechargeable long-life internal battery! The benefits of a 30 Amp AGM battery means you get extra long sampling runs. How does up to 12 hours of continuous sampling running at a full 100%! Now you will get the job done faster by eliminating the need to carry an external battery for your small pumps and always fearing that you may run the battery out during long sampling events (or even worse off forgetting the battery at the office).

Masterflex Easyload® 2 pump head design
Super fast tubing load times; No more stretching and jamming silicon tubing through the pump head and defiantly no more fiddling with screws to gain access to the pump head. Located on the side of the rugged Pelican case exterior allowing the user to easily shut the enclosure.

Supplied with Rhea Pump:
The Drop Tube Weight is specifically engineered for the Rhea peristaltic
option. Simply attach the proper tubing over the stainless steel barb tip,
then attach a stainless steel hose clamp to secure the tubing to the hose
barb on the Drop Tube Weight. The Drop Tube Weight incorporates a filter
screen to minimize debris and acts as a weight to minimize the sampling
tubing from rolling up. In addition, the Drop Tube is used for sampling the middle of stream by simply tossing the stainless steel Drop Tube Weight at the desired location where you wish to pull a water sample from. The Drop Tube Weight is approximately 1 pound.
