The Filter Screen is located on the bottom of your Stainless Steel Pump.

Insert the 2 prongs of the provided Filter Screen Removal Tool into any of the Filter Screen's holes.

Make sure the Filter Screen Removal Tool is firmly and completely inserted.

Holding the pump tightly, rotate the tool counterclockwise to the left to release and remove the Filter Screen.

Install the Stainless Steel Drop Tube to
the Stainless Steel Pump
Using the pump wrench provided when you bought your Proactive® Stainless Steep Pump, thread the Drop Tube clockwise, to the right into the Stainless Steel Pump until fully seated and secured.

Drop Tube Weight Combo and Pump Well Deployment Procedure
1. Verify Drop Tube Weight Depth
Verify the desired installation depth for the Proactive® Stainless Steel Drop Tube Weight.
2. Determine Pump Depth
Determine the correct installation depth for the Proactive® Stainless Steel Pump. When using the Proactive® Drop Tube Weight Combo it is suggested the Stainless Steel Pump is submerged 10 feet or more below the waterline and the Stainless Steel Pump placement is around 7 feet above the rated lift capacity upon pump start.
3. Measure the Distance Between Pump and Drop Tube Weight
Calculate the measurement between the Proactive® Stainless Steel Pump and the Proactive® Stainless Steel Drop Tube Weight. This measurement will determine the required tubing length between the two components.
4. Verify The Electrical Cable Is Secure Before Drop Tube and Pump Deployment
Keep the Pump Reel / Battery Clamps secured in a dry place for smooth, safe electrical connection after deployment is complete.
5. Connect Tubing To The Drop Tube Weight & Pump
Aligning with industry best practices, use a reel or coil of high-quality PFAS Free tubing, such as ProFlow® Tubing. Push the end of the the tubing completely over the barbed tip connection on the top of the drop tube weight, then secure it with a Stainless Steel hose clamp.
6. Start Deployment Of The Drop Tube Weight Combo and Stainless Steel Pump
A. Lower the Tubing Connected Drop Tube Weight into the well to the calculated measurement from Pump to Drop Tube Weight. Cut the tubing at that measurement.
B. Now connect the barbed tip of the bottom of the pump securely to the tubing coming out of the well. Secure the tubing to the barbed tip on the bottom of the Stainless Steel pump with another Stainless Steel hose clamp.
C. The top of the pump is now ready for tubing connection. Secure the rest of your tubing to the top of the pump with another Stainless Steel hose clamp.
D. Continue lowering the Pump and Drop Tube Weight into the well to the predetermined Drop Tube Weight depth. If you incorrectly determined the Stainless Steel Pump depth to be over the waterline(by letting the pump run dry) you will burn out the Stainless Steel Pumps Motor Module(s).
7. Connect the Pump to your Proactive® Controller
Secure your above-ground tubing in place, and connect the pump to your Proactive® Controller. Now with all components in place, you are ready to purge or groundwater sample at greater depths using your Proactive® Stainless Steel Pump in combination with the Proactive® Stainless Steel Drop Tube Weight Combo.
